How To Buy Your CPAP Machine
- It is best to call to discuss this on T: 0844 504 9999. Essentialy, before buying your CPAP machine, you should have been diagnosed with OSA by either a sleep clinician or technician, your GP or other qualified medical professional. This is most commonly done with an in home sleep study or you may have to attend a sleep clinic to reach this diagnosis.
- Your doctor or sleep technician / clinician can then fill out this Prescription Form online or alternatively print and fax the form to CPAP Europe on F: 0844 504 9494. You may also e-mail any relevant reports, prescriptions or NHS letters if you have them.
- Next, you can place your order for the CPAP Machine, optional Heated Humidifer and the correct Mask that you require. There are sizing gauges to help you choose your mask size if you are unsure.
- Once payment has cleared (instantly by credit or debit card), we will set the CPAP machine for your specific needs (if required) and ship the equipment directly out to you. Depending on how quickly we receive your paperwork, this process normally takes 2 to 5 working days.

These Respironics APAP, BiPAP, CPAP machines cover the needs of 99% of Sleep Apnoea sufferers. OSA occurs due to an obstruction or physiological narrowing of the upper airway in the pharynx that impedes, or reduces, inspiratory airflow (inhaling). Conventional therapy is the use of a device providing Continuous Positive Airway Pressure (CPAP), which is applied through a mask. This use of continuous pressure, when titrated properly, eliminates obstructive breathing events, including snoring. However,
some patients find it difficult or impossible to comply with this treatment because of pressure sensitivity while trying to exhale against the positive pressure.
Respironics’ new A-Flex is a revolutionary breakthrough in Positive Airway Pressure (PAP). A complaint of those using conventional CPAP is that they find it difficult to breathe out against the pressure. CPAP with A-Flex / C-Flex is designed to provide pressure relief during exhalation while maintaining effective therapy. Pressure is titrated in the same way as conventional CPAP. However, during use, the CPAP with A-Flex / C-Flex technology monitors the patient’s airflow during exhalation and reduces expiratory pressure in response to the airflow. The relief pressure varies on a breath-to-breath basis - depending on the actual patient airflow.
Respironics are worldwide leaders in sleep technology products. |
